Welcome, Lior!

Lior has come to serve as the Central Shaliach of Hashomer Hatzair Youth Movement USA! As a third generation of Hashomer Hatzair family after being a “Madrich” of youth from different age groups and doing “Shnat sherut” (service year) in the Hashomer Hatzair. Born on Kibbutz Amir and a Member of Kibbutz Ein Hahorsh, Lior now lives in Demarest New Jersey with his partner Moran and his kids Alma an Uriya. Lior has more than 20 years of executive and leadership experience, managing and leading programs in a variety of organizations, extensive experience in building and implementing strategic plans and public policy advocacy at the governmental and municipal level.

Most recently, Lior served as the CEO of the Ramle Foundation for Education Culture and Development. A municipal Foundation which specializes in running urban projects and promoting and initiating new projects for the well-being of all residents of the city of Ramle in the areas of shared life between Jews and Arabs, education, culture, welfare, leisure and development.

Previously to that, Lior held the position of the CEO of T.A.R.A Consulting. T.A.R.A is a strategic consulting firm, specializing in complex regulatory and governmental matters, strategic consulting, crisis management, and development. As part of his position, Lior accompanied dozens of social, public and business organizations in achieving their goals in the fields of education, promoting equality for people with disabilities, Jewish-Arab relations, reducing social gaps, and more.

In the past Lior worked as a 11th and 12th Grade Homeroom Teacher at Reut Democratic Boarding School that is based on the Hashomer Hatzair values  providing close personal support, guidance, and preparation for post-high school life for his students.

Lior was a board member in a number of NGO’s in Israel and also in his Kibbutz municipal board.

Lior is a qualified lawyer in Israel. He holds an LLM degree in Corporate Law and LLB degree specializing in public policy and governance from Reichman University, Radzyner School of Law. 

He is also a graduate of the Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs mini semester Program for Outstanding Students.
