25-26 Youth Ambassador (Mazkira)
Ori Ben itay
My name is Ori Ben Itay, and I am the new Mazkira of Hashomer Hatzair USA. I'm currently a junior in university studying political science and sociology. Although I've only been in the movement for 3 years, I've found a deep connection to the ideology and direction of where we are headed.
In the last summer at Mosh Kayitz I led the second mifkad esh. The full design was a moth with the words "לכו לאור" (go to the light) written below. Contradictory to the normal meaning of the phrase, what I was referring to are the natural cycles of light and darkness in life. Although we are in a dark time of the world, we have all the power to go towards the light and lead one another to a better future. I see my role in the year-round movement as helping shape our education and values and leading us to that goal.
Chazak ve'Ematz!
25-26 Youth Chapter Leaders (Roshei Ken nyc & nj)
Noga, Hadas, Casey, & Valor
Who are these dashing ladies and gentlemen, you might be asking yourself? Well none other than Noga, Casey, Hadas, and Valor, of course. They have stepped up as the Roshei Ken. Valor and Casey will be representing the New York Ken, while Hadas and Noga will be running things in New Jersey. Although separated, their vision is the same. They all share a passion for Hashomer Hatziar and want to bring this passion to the youth through Bi-Weekly activities and educational processes. They’re so excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to bring it this coming year.
